SD FINDER / INSTA360
Best SD card for the Insta360 X3
For a bike-mounted X3, plan around the rides you intend to record in full. Record ten minutes with your usual settings and multiply the file size by six to estimate an hour.

Which microSD should you buy?
I would start with a 256 GB UHS-I microSD bearing the V30 logo. It gives you room for multiple sessions between transfers. Compare prices at the same capacity and check the exact part number on the seller’s listing.

128, 256 or 512 GB for your shoot?
At an average of 100 Mb/s, an hour takes about 45 GB. At 200 Mb/s it takes about 90 GB. Use the bitrate of your recording mode and leave room for extra takes. If you offload each evening, size the card for your busiest day.
Calculate storage for my recording timeWhat should you check before recording?
Insta360 specifies up to 1 TB, a UHS-I bus, V30 or higher and exFAT formatting. Check those details on the card listing. Back up any existing files before formatting, then record and play back a short clip in your intended mode.
