Which card fits your device?
Two different cards carry the EXCERIA PLUS G2 name. A drone or action camera with a microSD slot takes the microSDXC version. A camera with a full-size SD slot takes the SDXC directly. An adapter can let you use microSD in that larger slot if the manual allows it. A full-size SD card cannot fit in a microSD slot.
Check the part number on the 128 GB pack
LNPL2M128GG4 identifies the SD card and LMPL2M128GG2 identifies the microSD. Both use UHS-I and carry U3 and V30 markings. Match the rating to the exact recording mode in your manual. If it calls for V60 or V90, a larger G2 will still be V30.

What changes when you move up to 256 GB?
For both formats, Kioxia rates maximum writes at 65 MB/s for 64 and 128 GB, rising to 90 MB/s from 256 GB. The maximum read speed stays at 100 MB/s. The larger card offers a potential write-speed benefit. There is little reason to buy it solely for faster offloads.
At a constant 100 Mb/s, one hour of footage uses about 45 GB. Two hours need 90 GB and fit on 128 GB. Three hours need 135 GB: pack a second card or choose 256 GB. Allow additional space for sidecar files.

What about 2 TB?
The full-size G2 range stops at 1 TB. The microSD range extends to 2 TB. Check your device’s supported capacity and part numbers before buying. For a security camera that continuously overwrites footage, check the endurance specification too. V30 describes a speed class.
